Australia

  • In Australia, happiness and recognition are the biggest contributors to a unique work experience
  • Around two-thirds of Australian employees are only somewhat engaged or worse
  • Nearly eight out of 10 Australian respondents would like to see their companies appoint someone dedicated to driving experience and well-being at work

With a new generation of employees seeking more from their employers, companies need to start thinking beyond just bricks and mortar to ways they can truly engage and empower their workforce.

Our global research project found that when it comes to creating a unique work experience, happiness at work and recognition have the biggest impact. In fact, 79% of Australian respondents would like to see a Chief Happiness Officer appointed to shape employee experiences and wellbeing at work.
