Only 43% of Dutch respondents report feeling “very engaged” at work, falling to just 28% for younger generations. Businesses need to create environments that improve the human experience and drive employee engagement to the level not yet seen.

JLL carried out a unique research project: to decode the workplace experience, understand its specific impact on business performance and work out how experiences can be shaped by real estate to achieve strategic performance objectives.

Dutch employees want their ideal workspace to be highly practical. While working in an increasingly open environment, they expect their work environment to provide spaces that support different types of work. Rich, varied and constantly renewed experiences can enable employees to grow and commit over the long term. At the same time, workplace transformation must be proactively managed, balanced and supported by trust and choice.
